- Query Builder – After setting up your social tracking, navigate to the “Query Builder” section.Start Building Your Query:You will see options to add rules using “AND” or “OR” conditions.These logical operators help you refine your search criteria.
- Add Rules – Click the “Add Rule” button to create a new rule.Enter your criterion in the input field labeled “Enter criterion.”Use the dropdown menu next to it to select the condition (e.g., “contains phrase”).
- Add Groups – Click the “Add Group” button to create a group of rules.This allows you to combine multiple rules under a single logical operator.
- Entire Mention To search the entire document for the specified keywords. To find documents containing the phrase “market analysis,” use the “Entire Mention” operator. This will search the full text, including titles, body, and metadata.
- Entire Mention Excluding Metadata To search the document for the specified keywords, excluding metadata like tags or classifications. If you want to find documents containing “Market Analysis” but exclude results where “Market analysis” appears in tags or classifications, use this operator.
- Title To search only within the title of the document. To find documents with “Marketing Analysis” in the title, use the “Title” operator. This limits the search to only the titles.
- Text Context To search within the main body text of the document. To find documents where “Marketing analysis” appear in the body of the text, use the “Text Context” operator. This excludes the title and metadata.
Entity operators
- Contains Phrase To search for documents that include an exact phrase.
To find documents containing the exact phrase “sales performance review,” use this operator. - Contains To search for documents that include specific keywords. To locate documents that mention both “sales” and “performance,” use the “Contains” operator.
- Does NOT Contain Phrase To exclude documents that contain an exact phrase. To exclude documents containing the phrase “Sales perfomance,” use this operator.
- Does NOT Contain To exclude documents that contain specific keywords. To exclude documents mentioning “Sales” and “perfomance” use this operator.
Common Operators
- AND To focus your search by including all specified search terms. To find documents containing both “marketing” and “strategy,” use “AND” between the terms. This will only return documents that have both terms.
- OR To expand your search by including at least one of the specified search terms. To find documents containing either “sales” or “revenue,” use “OR” between the terms. This will return documents that contain either or both terms.
- Delete Rules or Groups – If you need to remove a rule or group, click the “Delete” button next to the respective item.
- Apply Your Query Once you have set up your rules and groups, click the “Apply” button to execute your query.
