# Downloading Reports

Kommon Poll allows you to download reports and data directly from your Saved Searches in multiple formats.

Depending on how you want to use the data, you can generate a formatted PDF or PowerPoint report, export mention-level data as CSV, or download an Excel summary.

To access report downloads:

1. Open the relevant Saved Search
2. Select the required date range
3. Apply any filters you want to use
4. Click Download
5. Select the required download type

The Download report menu provides the following options:

• PDF Report
• Slides
• Mentions CSV (Simplified)
• Mentions CSV (Full Card Data)
• Excel Summary

Before Downloading a Report

Before generating a report or exporting data, make sure the Saved Search is showing the information you want to include.

You can adjust:

• Date range
• Platforms or sources
• Sentiment
• Authors
• Keywords
• Other available dashboard filters

Where relevant, you can also select or handpick important mentions for inclusion in formatted reports.

Once the required view is ready, click Download to open the available report and export options.

# PDF Report

Select PDF Report when you want a structured, ready-to-share report containing selected analytics, charts, and report sections.

From the Download report menu:

1. Select PDF Report
2. Choose the required saved PDF Format
3. Complete the available report details
4. Generate the report

The exported PDF follows the section structure defined in the selected PDF Format.

PDF reports are useful for:

• Executive summaries
• Brand performance reports
• Campaign reports
• Reputation monitoring reports
• Client reporting
• Periodic management updates

PDF Formats

A saved PDF Format is used to determine which report sections appear and the order in which they are presented.

# Slides

Select Slides when you want to generate an editable PowerPoint presentation from the Saved Search.

From the Download report menu:

1. Select Slides
2. Choose the required saved PowerPoint Format
3. Complete the available report details
4. Generate the presentation

The generated presentation follows the slide structure defined in the selected Slide Format.

Slides are useful for:

• Client presentations
• Management presentations
• Campaign reviews
• Competitor analysis
• Reputation reports
• Detailed analytical presentations

Slide Formats determine which slides are included, their order, and the number of mention examples included where supported.

# Mentions CSV (Simplified)

Select Mentions CSV (Simplified) when you need a streamlined export of mention-level data.

This option downloads directly without requiring a PDF or Slide Format.

The simplified CSV is useful when you want a lighter dataset for:

• Quick analysis
• Reviewing mentions
• Filtering or sorting mentions externally
• Sharing mention data with another team
• Performing additional analysis in spreadsheet or data tools

To download:

1. Open Download
2. Select Mentions CSV (Simplified)
3. The CSV file will download directly

Use this option when you need mention-level information without the additional detail included in the Full Card Data export.

# Mentions CSV (Full Card Data)

Select Mentions CSV (Full Card Data) when you need a more detailed mention-level data export.

This export provides a more complete representation of the information associated with collected mentions.

It is useful for:

• Detailed mention analysis
• Data auditing
• Advanced external analysis
• Research workflows
• Building custom reports outside Kommon Poll
• Working with a more complete mention dataset

To download:

1. Open Download
2. Select Mentions CSV (Full Card Data)
3. The CSV file will download directly

Use the Full Card Data option when you need more detail than the Simplified CSV provides.

Tip: Use Mentions CSV (Simplified) for easier day-to-day review and Mentions CSV (Full Card Data) when more detailed mention information is required.

# Excel Summary

Select Excel Summary when you want to download report metrics and summarized analytical data in an Excel workbook.

The Excel Summary downloads directly and does not require a PDF or Slide Format.

It is useful for:

• Further analysis in Excel
• Internal reporting
• Comparing metrics
• Creating additional calculations
• Working with report data outside Kommon Poll
• Sharing analytical summaries with other teams

To download:

1. Open Download
2. Select Excel Summary
3. The Excel file will download directly

# Choosing the Right Download Type

Use the format that best matches what you want to do with the report or data.

# PDF and Slides vs Data Exports

The available download types can generally be divided into two groups.

Formatted Reports

Formatted reports are designed for presenting and sharing insights.

These include:

• PDF Report
• Slides

These exports use saved formats to determine the structure of the generated report.

Data Exports

Data exports are designed for working with the underlying report or mention data outside Kommon Poll.

These include:

• Mentions CSV (Simplified)
• Mentions CSV (Full Card Data)
• Excel Summary

These options download directly and do not require a saved PDF or Slide Format.

# Quick Download Workflow

The general report downloading workflow is:

Open Saved Search -> Select Date Range -> Apply Filters -> Download -> Choose Export Type

For PDF Reports:

Download -> PDF Report -> Choose PDF Format -> Generate

For Slides:

Download -> Slides -> Choose PowerPoint Format -> Generate

For CSV and Excel exports:

Download -> Select CSV or Excel Option -> Download Directly

This allows you to choose between presentation-ready reports and data exports depending on how you want to use your Kommon Poll insights.
