Updating Account Details & Password

Update account profile fields and change your password from the Account page.

Update your account profile information and change your password from the Account page.

Use this page when your name, email address, phone number, or password needs to be updated.

Open The Account Page

  1. Go to the left sidebar.
  2. Find the profile card near the bottom of the sidebar.
  3. Click your name or profile card.
  4. Wait for the Account page to load.

The Account page shows separate cards for Account details, Password, Subscriptions, Billing, and Teams & collaborations.

Update Account Details

  1. Open the Account page from the profile card.
  2. Go to the Account details card.
  3. Edit the fields that need to change.
  4. Click Save changes.
  5. Wait for the confirmation message before leaving the page.

The Account details card includes:

  • Display name - the name shown in the interface.
  • First name - your given name.
  • Last name - your family name.
  • Email - your account email address.
  • Phone - an optional contact phone number.

Required Fields

The UI requires:

  • Display name.
  • Email.

The phone field is optional. First name and last name can be left blank if your organization does not require them.

Change Your Password

  1. Open the Account page from the profile card.
  2. Go to the Password card.
  3. Enter your Current password.
  4. Enter a New password.
  5. Enter the same password in Confirm new password.
  6. Click Update password.
  7. Wait for the confirmation message.

Password Requirements

The password form requires:

  • Current password.
  • New password.
  • Confirm new password.
  • A new password of at least 8 characters.
  • Matching values in New password and Confirm new password.

If The Update Fails

Check the most common causes first:

  • The current password is incorrect.
  • The new password and confirmation do not match.
  • The new password is shorter than the minimum length.
  • The account session has expired and you need to sign in again.
  • The account data service is temporarily unavailable.

If the error continues, refresh the page and try again. If you still cannot update the account, contact support with the email address on the account and the error message shown on screen.
